I recently upgraded to new computer running Windows 10. So far, most everything has been working well. (Far better at least than my previous computer which never quite..took to the Windows 10 upgrade.) However, straight away, I noticed the bluetooth was not connecting to my bluetooth headphones, and I can't figure out why.

The headphones connect to my old Windows 10 computer, to my macbook air, and to my iphone 7 with no issues. However on the new computer, the headphones never even show up as a device.

I have done the following to attempt to fix this:

Headphones-turned on and off several times

Computer Bluetooth-turned on and off several times, plus reset the computer

Microsoft Bluetooth Device Driver

Ensured 'Allow Bluetooth devices to find this PC' is enabled

Uninstalled and reinstalled all relevant drivers through the Windows driver manager-reset computer

Browsed the manufacturer's website (PC is a Dell Alienware) to find any drivers possibly missed by Windows.- there were none, but I tried to manually install the drivers anyway for good measure-rest after

And still nothing. I am not factory resetting my computer. That simply is not an option do to the sheer number and size of programs I have already installed. So in lieu of that I need suggestions on what else I can try. Everything I look up about bluetooth connectivity gives the same mundane answers of 'did you disconnect and reconnect the device?' or 'did you update the drivers?' Which at this point are hardly helpful.
